Dearest Michaela, like everyone else I was deeply saddened to hear of your struggle and our loss. We grew up together but I last saw you at my own mother's funeral many many years later. But it did strike me then that you had grown up to be a warm, lovely and very caring person who was attentive to the needs of others. I remember our conversation well for that reason, as well as for your nice smile and laugh. Many people loved you, and we all collectively grieve your loss at this time. Covid restrictions prevent me from paying you my last respects in London on Tuesday, and sharing with those present the sense of loss you leave with us all. My heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved you, and in particular to Michael, Linda and Paul, whose pain must be unbearable right now. Please know that you are not alone in your grief.
